Scarlet RF Microneedling
Scarlet RF combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to support collagen production and improve the appearance of skin texture, fine lines, enlarged-looking pores, acne scars and mild skin laxity.
Every treatment begins with a consultation to determine whether Scarlet RF is appropriate for your skin, medical history and treatment goals.
Consultation: Your technician will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and review your medical history.
Preparation: The treatment area will be cleansed, and a topical numbing product may be applied for comfort.
Treatment: The Scarlet RF system uses fine microneedles to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy at selected depths.
Post-treatment care: Appropriate soothing skincare and moisturizer may be applied following the procedure.
For at least two weeks before treatment:
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Do not treat sunburned, irritated or actively inflamed skin.
For approximately one week before treatment:
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and other aggressive skincare products, unless your technician advises otherwise.
- Tell your technician about all medications and supplements you currently use.
Certain medications and supplements may increase bruising or affect treatment eligibility. Do not stop aspirin, anticoagulants, prescription medication or medically recommended supplements without first consulting the healthcare professional responsible for your care.
Scarlet RF microneedling is not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Please inform us of active infections, cold sores, open wounds, recent cosmetic procedures or significant changes to your health before treatment.
To support the healing process:
- Avoid direct sunlight and use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, acids and other strong active ingredients for approximately two to three weeks, or until your technician advises that they can be resumed.
- Do not rub, scratch, pick or exfoliate the treated area.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and activities that cause excessive heat or sweating for at least 48 hours.
- Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours or as directed by your technician.
- Use only the gentle skincare products recommended by your technician.
Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity or mild swelling may occur following treatment. Contact the clinic if you experience an unexpected or concerning reaction.
Discontinue retinol and prescription or non-prescription retinoids approximately two weeks before treatment, unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.
Avoid strong exfoliating products and acids before and after treatment as recommended by your technician.
Do not resume glycolic acid, retinoids or other active ingredients until your technician advises that your skin is ready.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day, particularly following your treatment.
Avoid excessive sun exposure and notify us if your skin is sunburned or irritated before your appointment.
Male clients receiving a facial treatment should shave the evening before their appointment, when possible. This allows time for any shaving-related irritation to settle before treatment.
